For various other transnational regions information is actually available on project web sites, such as EU funded Interreg projects. , (see also information on Climate-ADAPT[12]. For example there is much information provided for the Baltic Sea Region, for which a proposal for an adaptation strategy was developed and presented in 2014[13]. Also for various trans-boundary river basins climate change adaptation strategies and related information exists, such as for the Danube[14]. However such other ‘information web sites’ were not taken further into consideration in this report.

We advise to add to the report information on the Baltic See Region Adaptation to climate change activities and include Baltic Window platform.

We intend to add some information about the history of the Baltic Window platform here.

Please note that the proposal for a transnational adaptation strategy and action plan was presented to member states at the Baltadapt final conference in September 2013 in Riga, Latvia. Since December 2013 a follow-up policy process - the BSR climate dialogue platform is following-up on recommended actions and activities from the strategy and its action plan. The platform consists of all BSR countries, including Norway and Russia, relevant pan-Baltic and other INGOs as well as NGOs and scientists from the region.

CBSS believes that taking into account these kind of platfroms and strategies would have been worth while considering that its development is based on the rather new European macro-regions approach and policy that will play a more important role in the future when it comes to integrated, cross-sectoral cooperation processes on issues like climate change and adaptation. It is a clear member state driven process.
