Exceptional low-water events in the Meuse Basin

As a consequence of the summer droughts experienced in the previous years, the

International Meuse Commission (IMC) has published on its website (www.meuse-maas.be) in December 2020 a plan of approach to deal with exceptional low water events. The document aims to answer three questions:

What is an exceptional low-water event in the Meuse basin?

What are their concrete consequences?

How can we deal with such a situation?
