When discussing chemical status of surface and groundwaters in relation with urban wastewater, particularily point sources, the issue of micro pollutants must absolutely be included!

Switzerland has been active in this field for many years, developing both technical measures and legislative basis in order to diminish the discharge of micropollutants from wastewater treatment plants in to the environment. Intensive research on mitigatiing diffuse pollution of micropollutants (studies on sources, pathways and remeditation) is on-going.

The FOEN website gives a comprehensive overview on general background information to this issue as well as to concrete measures and activities going on in this field in Switzerland. I wish to request that this information is included, both as a general "background/theory"-chapter as well as a case study on "how this issue can be addressed successfully".
