Wider environment:
WFD Article 4(3)(a)(i) refers to the ‘wider environment’. ‘Consequently a restricted definition of environment would not be appropriate and the environment is considered to include the natural environment and the human environment including archaeology, heritage, landscape and geomorphology’[7].
