EUROWATERNET is the process by which the EEA obtains the information on water resources (rivers, lakes, groundwater, transitional, coastal and marine waters, emissions and quantity) it needs to answer the questions of its customers and to achieve its mission of "supporting sustainable development and to help achieve significant and measurable improvement in Europe's environment through the provision of timely, targeted, relevant and reliable information to policy making agents and to the public."
