Short description from SERIS (old):

In 1999 the Swedish Parliament adopted 15 environmental quality objectives. Also, about 70 interim targets have been adopted by Parliament. An Environmental Objectives Council was set up in 2002 to coordinate efforts to achieve the goals. It monitors the action being taken and publishes this progress report in June each year.
