Data Exchange and Management Tool (DEM tool) was developed in order to streamline process of compilation and data processing. In the test exercise, Member States were asked to use DEM tool as one option for creating requested xml-files. Main objective of the test exercise was to a) test functionality and user-friendliness of the DEM-tool, b) ensure smooth functioning of data transfer from Member States to WISE and c)encourage use of the DEM-tool among the Member States. Results of the test exercise were presented and discussed at the Workshop on Reporting for UWWTD held on 11-12 May 2009 in Brussels, and later incorporated into the Manual and Guidance for UWWTD Questionnaire.
