The webinar on 13 December 2018 focused on three national strategies or roadmaps for the circular economy, adopted in 2018 in Denmark, France and Slovenia:
Danish Strategy for Circular Economy, (September 2018), presented by Mr Søren Mørch Andersen from the Ministry of Environment and Food, Denmark
The French roadmap for the Circular Economy, (April 2018) presented by Mr Sylvain Chevassus from Ministère de la transition écologique et solidaire, France
The Slovenian Roadmap towards the Circular Economy, (April 2018), presented by Mme Janja Kreitmayer from the Ministry for the Environment and Spatial Planning, Slovenia
The last part of the webinar was a round of questions to the presenters. The topics included targets and voluntary commitments; mechanisms to monitor and measure progress towards the circular economy; use of taxes and stakeholder involvement in the green budget reform; and complementarity between EU and national actions on the circular economy.
Over a hundred persons registered for the webinar. In addition to participants from 30 countries, experts from the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, and the International Resource Panel also joined the event.
